In recognition of the School's 50th anniversary of racial integration, Asheville School invites you to hear three dynamic speakers who will discuss multicultural issues of today with our students, faculty members and alumni. We hope you will join us for these events throughout the school year.
September 21 - 7:15 p.m. in Graham Theater
Gil Prince 1971, one of the first three African American students to enroll at Asheville School in 1967, will speak to the school community as we recognize 50 years of racial integration at our institution.
January 11 - 7:15 p.m. in Graham Theater
Dr. Christine Darden will share her life story and career as an engineer at NASA, as mentioned in the book "Hidden Figures."
April 26 - 7:15 pm in Graham Theater
Richard Blanco will share how he became the first Latino, immigrant and gay writer to read an original poem for a Presidential inauguration.
