Asheville School Mourns The Loss of Steve Bryant '41
1.21.10
Asheville School mourns the passing on January 18, 2010 of alumnus Steve Bryant '41. He had been in rapidly declining health in recent days. We are grateful for his many years of friendship and generosity. Steve's was a true Asheville School family. His two brothers attended Asheville School (John '31, Richard '33), as well as his step-son (Anthony '95), two nephews (Jared '99, Lance '03), and two grandsons (Matt 2008, and current student Joey 2013). In the past 15 years, Steve founded two endowed scholarships at Asheville School (one in memory of his classmate and friend Boyd Taylor, and one in honor of former Assistant Head for External Affairs Ray Cruitt) and paid for the construction of a faculty duplex in honor and memory of former teacher Elliott Coleman.
