Asheville School Lacrosse Players Selected for All-Star Teams
Asheville School Lacrosse Players Selected for All-Star Teams

Asheville School seniors Mitchell Frisch and Sarah Jane "SJ" Kline have been selected to play on North Carolina high school lacrosse exhibition teams which showcase the best high school senior lacrosse players in the state. Frisch has been invited to play in the Bull City All-Star Cullen Classic for Cancer. Kline has been selected to play in the Girls NC Senior Showcase.

Both Kline and Frisch have worked hard and shown dedication during their lacrosse seasons with the Blues.

Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach Lecky Haller says that Frisch is equally talented on defense and offense and that he truly loves the game. "Mitchell Frisch is a special individual," Haller said. "Beyond his athletic abilities, he brings a wonderful attitude of leading by example and a fortitude of toughness and sportsmanship that is rarely seen in any athletic arena. You would never know it after a game that this man singlehandedly won the game."

Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach Heather Garson says that Kline is an all-around strong player. "As a senior, co-captain, and midfielder, SJ Kline has been the firepower of our team this season," Garson said. "She leads our team in goals, draw controls, and ground balls for the second season in a row. I am thrilled for SJ to have been selected to the NC Senior Showcase. This is a well-deserved honor which acknowledges her individual talent, hard work, and contribution to our program during her time at Asheville School."

The Girls NC Senior Showcase will be held in the Queens University of Charlotte SportsPlex on May 21. The Bull City All-Stars will play at Koskinen Stadium at Duke University on June 3.

Both Frisch and Kline say that they are honored to represent Asheville School on the showcase teams. "It's an exciting opportunity to represent my team and my school," Frisch said. "I am definitely excited. It will be a unique experience."

"It means that everything I've been working towards for the past four years is paying off," Kline said. "I'm really excited to represent my team—without them I wouldn't be where I am. Plus, it means my season's not over!"
