Ms. Megan Grant
Megan is the Director of Residential Life, a dorm parent in Lawrence, and a math teacher. She assists with mountaineering in the fall. Her favorite tradition at Asheville School is the Third Form camping trip.
Megan received her Bachelors of Science in General Business from the Calloway Business School at Wake Forest University in 2009. She has strengthened her experience in the classroom through her attendance at Columbia University’s Klingenstein Summer Institute in 2014.
After graduating from Wake Forest, Megan worked as a paralegal for a law firm in Winston-Salem specializing in workers’ compensation defense. During and after her time at Wake Forest, Megan worked part-time as a tutor in the business statistics courses, which helped her to realize her passion for working with students and teaching mathematics. Her six summers of experience as a camp counselor prepared her well for the environment of a residential boarding school.
Megan has enjoyed taking advantage of everything that Asheville has to offer, especially the food scene! She enjoys hiking, mountain biking, running, and skiing in the mountains of North Carolina. On campus, Megan loves cooking, working puzzles in the common room, and supporting the Blues at various athletic events.
