Andrew Kegg is a native of Chapel Hill, NC where he also studied Romance Languages and Latin American Studies, graduating in 2008. Prior to working at Asheville School, he lived, worked, and studied all over the world, with longer stints in Quito, Ecuador; Sevilla, Spain; and Stockholm, Sweden. His academic interests include Latin American politics, contemporary Hispanic film and literature, and linguistic variation in the Spanish Language.
This year he will be teaching four sections of Spanish III and V, living as a Hall Parent on 2nd Anderson, and coaching in the Mountaineering Program.
When on break from Asheville School, he can usually be found in Ecuador. He is currently working on his first major literary translation.
