Giving

Giving Overview

A strong tradition of philanthropy stretches back to the earliest days at Asheville School.

The continued support of the school’s alumni and friends has been the difference between a good school and a great school, between moving forward or remaining static.

There are many ways to show support for Asheville School, whether giving to the institution’s annual, capital or estate giving funds, or volunteering for one of many on- or off-campus events.

The giving will be appreciated by the administration, faculty and students for generations to come.

Procedures for stock transfers:

The simplest (and fastest) way to transmit stock is for your broker to do a DTC transfer through one of the school's brokers:

Van Thompson (Class of '73) of Morgan Keegan in Lexington, KY
859.253.9769 (phone) van.thompson@morgankeegan.com (email)

Your broker will need the following information:
Our DTC Number: 780
The account of Asheville School: 270-55896

---OR---

Bob Anning (Class of '59) of Merrill Lynch in Cincinnatti, OH
1.800.234.2099 (phone)

Your broker will need the following information:
Our DTC number: 5198
The account of Asheville School: 636-04482

We like to call our broker to ask that they be on the lookout for all transfers. If you can provide the security being transferred in advance to the School (and the number of shares, or the approximate amount), it is easier for our broker to track the gift.

I talk to my classmates on a weekly basis, and we are all nostalgic about Asheville School. I feel very confident in saying that Asheville School was the best four years of my life so far. All the memories are so vivid; it's a special place.
