Looking Forward to Alumni Weekend 2011

• According to the forecast, this weekend’s weather is going to be fantastic. Highs will be in the 70’s with sunny skies Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Make sure to take lots of photos, whether it is for the Campus in Bloom photo contest, or to capture the great times you have, or both! Speaking of, check out these photos from Alumni Weekend 2006. Can you believe it’s been five years?

• This year’s Service of Remembrance on Sunday, May 1 at 11:00 am will feature guest speaker Reverend Randall McGee 1976. Joan and David Henke, two grandchildren of Newton Mitchell Anderson (one of Asheville School's founders), will be in attendance as the school remembers their mother, Arney Henke, and other friends and alumni who passed away this year.

• Make sure you say hello to the following former faculty members who will be here for Alumni Weekend: Tish Anderson, Connie Ambler (widow of Chase Ambler '50), Ron Bromley, Vance Brown '61, Doc Embler, Brooke (Lawrence) Hata '91, Pop Hollandsworth, Joe Lalley, Gene Legg, Ed McBride, Irv Ornduff, Terry Verduin Sheets (daughter of Bill Verduin), Betsey Sherman, Jack Tyrer and more.
