Robotics Club Competes in State Tournament
2.28.13
Asheville School’s Robotics team returned from Greensboro after placing 7th in the state tournament out of 35 teams.
Unfortunately, the top four seeded teams did not select Asheville School's team to participate in the final alliance match. Last year, the team in second place chose Asheville School as an alliance team, and the Blues went on to place second in the state.
Brandon Liang was one of 12 students to participate in Saturday's tournament under the guidance of Charles Long, Asheville School’s technology coordinator.
"We were mentioned to be one of three finalists for a prize, which was a high honor," Liang said. "We saw the growth of the team and are pretty confident about the future."
