Blues Earn No. 2 Seed in NCISAA Division III Playoffs

The football season will be extended for the Blues, who have earned a first-round bye and no. 2 seed in this year's state playoffs.

Asheville School will play the winner of the November 2 game between no. 3 Southlake Christian Academy and no. 6 Hickory Grove Christian. The Blues are 6-4 for the season and have earned wins against both teams earlier this year. On September 13, the Blues defeated Southlake Christian 34 -12 and on September 28 they faced off against Hickory Grove Christian, winning 55-0.

The Blues will host the game, which will be in Asheville School's new multisport complex on Friday, November 9 at 7 p.m.

Asheville School Athletic Director Carl Boland is proud of the team. "Congratulations to our coaches and players for earning the no. 2 seed in the NCISAA Division III Playoffs," Boland said. "We are very excited about the opportunity to host a semifinal game here next week and compete for a championship."

Join us on November 9 to cheer on the Blues! Because this is a NCISAA Semifinal playoff game, NCISAA charges $10 for all adults and $5 for students.
