Support the Blues and enjoy a seasonal cookie and a mug of hot mulled cider at the annual Holiday Open House at the School Store on Thursday, December 6, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Local vendors will sell a range of items during the event, including hand-made soaps and lotions from Essential Journeys; Broo shampoos, conditioners, and lotions from our very own Pearsall family; and hand-forged silver jewelry from Lisa Colby.
Humanities teacher McNair Johnson will sell handwoven bags and wallets made through the "Weaving for Empowerment" project, an initiative by The Small World that helps combat poverty by empowering women with skills and opportunities to become economically independent.
All Asheville School items regularly in the store will also be available. All proceeds directly benefit Asheville School.
If you can't make it in person, Asheville School recently launched its Online School Store with help from Austin Bell 2006, School Store Manager Jessica Bayer, and others.
The store is now open and taking orders. It features apparel and accessories from brands like YETI, Vineyard Vines, Smathers and Branson, Boathouse and Nalgene. Products will be updated throughout the year.
