Major Eason 2019 Receives the 2019 All-American Athlete Award from the National Strength and Conditioning Association

Asheville School is proud to announce senior Major Eason as a 2019 All-American Athlete Award recipient from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). This award recognizes Eason's athletic accomplishments and his dedication to strength and conditioning.

Nominated by Asheville School Director of Strength and Conditioning Doug Harger, Eason's determination to improve in athletics while maintaining academic prominence is a great model for all student-athletes at Asheville School.

"Major Eason enrolled at Asheville School in 2017-18 as a weight room novice and quickly established himself as one of the most dedicated and high-performing athletes in the Blues athletic program," wrote Harger in his nomination of Eason. "Major is meticulous in his training, spending countless hours on both skill work and physical preparation. The weight room has been instrumental in Major's ability to negotiate multiple sports with conflicting physical demands."

Eason is the fourth athlete at Asheville School honored with the Oak Sapling Award for strength and conditioning. He holds a number of leadership positions at Asheville School, and he plans to study and play basketball at Swarthmore College next fall.
