Volunteer Opportunity – Preserve Asheville School's Forest
Volunteer Opportunity – Preserve Asheville School's Forest

It has been several years since Asheville School Instructors Christopher Arbor and Mike Hill began an initiative to tackle invasive species in Asheville School's 200 acres of undeveloped woods.

After many hours of work with students, faculty members and community volunteers, Arbor and Hill's team has started the next phase of restoring the forest: planting trees to jump start native growth and control stream erosion.

They are looking for volunteers interested in planting saplings on Monday, March 4, and Monday, March 11. Contact Christopher Arbor at arborch@ashevilleschool.org to sign up.
