Recent Notable Alumni Athletes
Rachel Kuehn 2019 Makes Program History at Wake Forest
Congratulations to Rachel Kuehn 2019, who won an individual title at the September 15 - 18, 2019 ANNIKA Intercollegiate tournament. From Wake Forest University:
"Leading the Deacs was freshman Rachel Kuehn, who became the first player in program history to win an individual title in her collegiate debut. She shot a final round 3-under 69 to finish the tournament at 13-under and post a five-shot win in an event that featured 12 returning All-Americans from 2019. Her 13-under total is a Wake Forest freshman record and the third-best 54-hole total in school history, trailing only the school-record 15-under score that Jennifer Kupcho shot twice (once as a sophomore, once as a junior)."
Samuel Goldstein '16 Earns Podium Finish in 20th Maccabiah Games
In July 2017, Israel hosted the 20th Maccabiah Games, a quadrennial multi-sport event that aims to bring together Jewish athletes from across the world for an Olympic-style competition. Asheville School alumnus Samuel Goldstein traveled to the games to compete in several track events. He competed in the Open category, earning silver medals for team USA in the 1500 Meter Run, 800 Meter Run and 4x400 Meter Relay.
Conor Fenn 2016 Steps Into Division I Wrestling
Conor Fenn '16 steps on to the mat for Davidson College wrestling wearing the customary Wildcats uniform. But there is one addition—Fenn is always sure to go out in his blue knee pads, which he carries from his time wrestling for the Blues.
Where have our alumni athletes played in college?
Asheville School alumni have played sports at a variety of colleges and universities. Our athletic department has created a list of our recent college athletes, but this list is a work in progress. Send any information you have on where you or your fellow alumni played in college to email@example.com. We want to hear from you!
