Mr. Varghese Alexander
, Dickinson College
A 10-year veteran of the boarding school model, Varghese began his career at St. George's in Newport, RI. In 2006, he met his future wife at the Klingenstein Summer Institute and together they moved to Asheville School.
Accustomed to the numerous hats of school life, he has coached a variety of teams to mediocrity, finding the most joy on the basketball court. He has lived his entire career on dorm, initially on a freshman hall and currently with his wife (Erin Connors) and two little girls.
A love of math brought him to the independent school world, but an interest in technology and an attempt at household balance have migrated him from the classroom and into aiding teachers as they integrate innovation (with the help of at least one child strapped to his chest). As a part of the Professional Development Committee, and while working on his masters degree through the Klingenstein Leadership Academy, he has developed a particular passion for considering pedagogy and efficiency.
