Rising to the Challenge: Asheville School Students Lead Hurricane Relief Effort

We are proud to celebrate the inspiring work of three Asheville School students—Jim Bradshaw ’26, Wilder Best ’26, and Trey Cabes ’26—who exemplify our school’s vision of pursuing lives of meaning and service.

In response to the devastation of Hurricane Helene, these students launched a fundraiser to support The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina’s hurricane relief efforts. Wilder, an Asheville native, has watched his hometown grow from a quiet town into a flourishing city. Jim and Trey, though not originally from Asheville, have found a home here through their time at Asheville School and share a deep connection to the community. United by friendship and purpose, these friends took action to help their beloved city in its time of need.

Through their efforts, they raised more than $12,000 for recovery and relief, showcasing the power of compassion and community.
