Facilities

State-of-the-Art Facilities

Asheville School's athletic facilities are considered among the best in the Southeast. Carter Court (equipped with stadium seating) has played host to NCISAA state basketball championships, and the Ambler Pool has held numerous CAA Conference championship swim meets over the past decade.

Our outdoor track surrounding our football field has been chosen for CAA Conference championships, and our beautiful, yet rigorous cross country course has hosted CAA Conferences and Buncombe County and NCISAA Cross Country championships.

Rodgers Memorial Athletic Center

Rodgers Athletics Center

Asheville School's Rodgers Memorial Athletic Center houses the basketball and volleyball courts in the stunning Carter Gymnasium; the Ambler Pool, an indoor heated pool with electronic timing system; the South Gym, a second gymnasium; a state-of-the-art fitness center and weight room; locker rooms; and other features. The entire complex was renovated in 2003 and is one of the finest facilities of its kind in the region.

In the surrounding area, student athletes practice and compete on the field in McNaughton Stadium, Arnold Field Hockey/Lacrosse Field, two soccer fields, Lewis Baseball Field, a challenging cross country course, which features natural wooded trails, and the Baxter Taylor Tennis Center.

Abernethy Tennis Pavilion

The Abernethy Tennis Pavilion, dedicated in August 2017, sits alongside the Baxter Taylor Tennis Center and provides a place to gather, celebrate and cheer on the Blues.

McNaughton Stadium

In fall 2018, Asheville School opened a new multi-purpose athletic complex. The complex includes a turf field, field lights, a new track matching the school's navy blue and white colors, stadium seating for 500 fans, a new press box and field-level restrooms.
