Doug Harger, who studied at Michigan State University and Armstrong State University, has worked in the field of human health and performance since 2006, developing a specialty in adolescent athletes. Harger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and a Master of Science degree in Strength and Conditioning.
Harger has been the head athletic trainer at Asheville School since 2015 and became assistant director of athletics for health and performance in 2016. He coordinates sports medicine services and a comprehensive, year-round sports strength and conditioning program within the Blues athletic program. Harger is a licensed athletic trainer in North Carolina (NC # LAT-2784). He is also one of a small handful of registered strength and conditioning coaches currently working at the high school level.
