At The Threshold: The Campaign for Asheville School

Contributions to the endowment allow us to endure as one of the few schools in the world that is purposefully small, while attracting the most gifted students and teachers possible-providing future generations with the facilities and programs that match their talents.

Our Potential

Compared to our competitors, Asheville School is drawing significantly less percent of our total endowment, operating at higher levels of efficiency with fewer resources. However, Asheville School remains at a significant disadvantage in endowment funding compared to these institutions. Building our endowment protects the resources necessary to address the ever-changing needs of Asheville School’s people, place and programs, while operating in the most productive and efficient manner possible. As the endowment grows, our balance sheet improves over time and debt decreases.

Aiming Higher than our Best

The Campaign for Asheville School will increase our endowment by an impressive 31% – the first of many critical steps to ensure a sustainable future for Asheville School. Gifts to the endowment will be invested for the long-term, and earnings from those investments will provide steady financial support for outstanding faculty, student scholarships, and innovative programming.

Our goal is to raise the endowment to $63M by 2020.
