Faculty Support
Asheville School’s faculty members are dedicated to providing students with a greater understanding of their responsibilities to the world at large.
As a result, students graduate with heightened intellectual curiosity and a deep appreciation for authentic human connection.
Meet Jay
Humanities Teacher since 1988
“I’ve only been here 30 years. And there’s still so much more to explore.”
“Asheville School was a singular experience for me. Not just the best job I ever had but the most personally rewarding. And the school has stood the test of time-a culture unlike any other I know.”
Barrett A. Toan
Philanthropist
Faculty Member (1969 to 1972)
Our Potential
Competition among boarding schools for the best educators is fierce. Asheville School has thus far been able to offer competitive compensation packages by using a larger percentage of the operating budget to make up for endowment shortages. This is not sustainable.
Competitive Salaries
We now have the opportunity to significantly grow our endowment to support key retention factors such as salaries and benefits, research, and professional development grants, without depleting our operating funds.
Our Progress
Faculty Support: $6,000,000 Goal
Empower faculty members who drive our culture.
Your philanthropic support will ensure that Asheville School remains an institution where talented professionals are inspired to pursue fulfilling, life-long careers.
