On Friday, May 10, Asheville School senior Skylan Thompson committed to play lacrosse at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.
Thompson was a standout player for the Blues, and Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach Heather Welch says that she constantly looks for ways to improve on the field.
“Skylan is one of the most determined and tenacious players our program has seen,” Welch said. “Her pressure on defense and relentless pursuit of ground balls has been a major asset for our team this season.”
During the May 10 ceremony, Skylan signed her letter of commitment and her teammates and coaches wished her well. “Congratulations to Skylan on this impressive accomplishment,” Welch said. “We will miss you, but we can’t wait to see what you do at Centre next year. Your Blues family will be cheering you on from afar!”
