Spring 2024 Zoom Book Discussion Schedule

May 2024: What Lessons from a Master? Reading Henry James

Join Jay and Clay in a discussion of works of Henry James: Turn of the Screw and What Maisie Knew. The discussion of Turn of the Screw will take place Tuesday, May 14, at 7:00 p.m. The remaining two classes, discussions of What Maisie Knew, will meet on Wednesday evenings (7:00 – 8:00 p.m.): May 22 (through Chapter XIX) and May 29 (finish reading the novel). Please email Jay ([email protected]) by Friday, May 10 if interested in this class.

June 2024: Going Somewhere?: Summery Journeys

Please join Jay and Clay for a reading kick-off into summer. This class will meet Wednesday, June 5, at 7:00 p.m., to discuss Alejandro Zambra’s Ways of Going Home. This short and poignant novel will send us into summer refreshed — and perhaps introduce you to a contemporary Chilean author who proved one of Jay’s grandest reading discoveries of the past year. Please email Jay ([email protected]) by Friday, May 31 if interested in this class.
