Greetings from the Director of Athletics & Afternoon Activities

I am thrilled to welcome you to the world of Asheville School Blues Athletic and After School Programs. Our athletic offerings are built for everyone, from students enjoying new health and fitness routines to those bound for college sports, and all levels of skill and interest in between.

Our competitive programs only grow and build each year, placing us in the Carolina Athletic Association and North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association. Our students work with a team of talented coaches who care immensely for their futures as both athletes and young adults. We also offer an accomplished sports medicine program and sport-specific strength and conditioning program to keep our athletes strong and healthy. Our competitive programs focus on teaching the important values of commitment, perseverance, teamwork, and love of the game.

At the same time, our noncompetitive programs are designed to offer lifetime health and fitness skills. Our fitness and recreational-based programs use a combination of our high-level athletic facilities and the incredible natural resources the mountains and waterways of Western North Carolina offer. Students gain confidence as they enjoy trying out and learning new skills from experienced positive instructors.

When the three o’clock hour hits, Asheville School’s fields, gym, pool, and woods come alive with students training hard, working together, and finding the best version of themselves.

Go Blues,

Sarah Bednar
