This winter, join the Asheville School Dramatic Society for a night of Shakespeare as they delve into Shakespeare's "The Merry Wives of Windsor" February 22-24 in the Walker Art Center's Graham Theater.
"The Merry Wives of Windsor" is a comedy that follows Shakespeare's farcical character Falstaff as he attempts to woo multiple maidens with hilarious results. "We're looking forward to bringing this funny comedy by Shakespeare to life for our Asheville School community and friends," said Dramatic Society Director John Crawley.
The show is directed by John Crawley, and it stars Lily Formato, Allie Dent, Gelsey Beavers-Damron, John Delaloye, Andrew Klump, Karen Mason, David Zheng, Addie Trivers, Audrey Gee, Conquest Martin, Wren Newman-Lombardo, Kate Cavanaugh, Amelia Leaphart, Oliver Smith, Atticus Sessoms and Steffi Voigt. The tech crew includes Ella McIntosh Ann Caton Smith, Andrew Bleick, Maddy Phillips, and Jack Mulwee.
"The Merry Wives of Windsor" will show at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, and Friday, February 23. A matinee performance will show on Saturday, February 24 at 2 p.m.
Asheville School families, alumni and friends are invited to a pre-show reception in the Walker Art Center's John M. Crawford Gallery on Friday, February 23 beginning at 6 p.m. This reception is hosted by the Asheville School Alumni Association and is a great way to gather and connect before watching the Friday evening production.
