Asheville School Hosts West African Dance Workshop Open to the Public

On Friday, September 14, Asheville School Fine Arts will host Barakissa Coulibaly, a guest dance teacher who will lead a West African dance workshop from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Walker Arts Center's Graham Theater on Asheville School's campus.

Coulibaly is a West African dancer and choreographer from Abobo, Abidjan, Cote d'Ivorie. She has performed and taught all over the world, recently working with dance students at the University of North Carolina Asheville.

She currently works as a dance instructor for S-Connection Ariel Arts in Gainesville, Florida. Read more about Coulibaly and her work here.
