Coach Nick Whitmore has just completed his second season at the helm of our boys’ basketball program and, in just two years, has helped take Blues basketball to new heights. Highlights from this season include the Blues first CAA Conference Championship since 1999, a top four finish in the NCISAA, and three players earning a spot on the CAA All-Conference Team. Additionally, several Blues players have matriculated to play basketball at the collegiate level.

Prior to his time at Asheville School, Coach Whitmore served as the head coach at New Hampton School where he led the Huskies to a NEPSAC AAA regular season championship and reached the AAA championship in his second year as head coach. During his tenure at New Hampton, 45 of his players went on to play collegiate basketball with 35 being at the Division One level. Prior to New Hampton, Coach Whitmore coached at the Division One level while at the University of San Francisco
